I'm coming alone, can I book a shared room with a stranger?

Unfortunately we no longer offer this option at Juicy Oasis, due to a lack of demand and the logistic complexity of this with our online booking system. However if you would like to explore a room share option, please look at our rustic retreat in Turkey, where we offer the more affordable option to attend the retreat alone and share accommodation with another guest.

What happens throughout the week?

During the week we have a great variety of activities from yoga, meditation, circuit training, fitness sessions, volleyball, tennis, table tennis, mini re-bounding, runs; forest rambles (Nordic walking poles available); informational talks; juicing demonstration; inspirational documentaries and other activities such as a boat trip and bike hire. Is the Juicy Oasis Retreat a ‘juice only’ retreat?

Juicy Oasis is a Juice Only Retreat. All weeks throughout the season are based on a programme of four juices per day (or 3 x juices and 1 x soup in the winter months). We also have daily shots of either ginger, lemon & beetroot or fresh wheatgrass.

On Saturdays we open our ‘Juicy Cafe’ and on your final departure day we include a complimentary salad for you to enjoy. Some guests also choose to enjoy a salad on their arrival and these are available to purchase from the cafe. Please note the cafe and food menu is ONLY AVAILABLE on Saturdays between 12.00 - 17.00.

Are there any supplements in the juices?

Yes we include Spirulina, Wheatgrass, Superfood and Protein Powder in several of the juices.

Are the juices/smoothies based on the ‘7lbs in 7 days’ programme?

Many of the juices/smoothies at the retreat are taken from the best selling ‘7lbs in 7 days’ book. However, unlike the book, there are four juices/smoothies per day and some of the recipes are omitted/replaced with other recipes.

Please note: we offer a standard juice plan to all guests and do not offer bespoke or tailored juices. We are able to cater for allergies by omitting certain ingredients from recipes, please just let our team know of any intolerances/allergies upon booking.

Can I book on for more than one week?

Yes, of course! Guests are welcome to book for extended stays. We recommend a maximum of four weeks. Guests booking consecutive weeks will receive a 5% Retreat Rewards room credit.

Do I need to pay the full amount for the retreat immediately?

No - if time allows, (more than 10 weeks ahead of a retreat week) we can take an initial NON-REFUNDABLE deposit payment of £400 per person, per week, to secure the booking.

The remaining balance would need to be settled by six weeks before travel. Your place is only booked and secured once payment has been submitted and cleared. We accept all major credit and debit cards, (apart from American Express), bank transfer and PayPal payment.

Which is the nearest airport to Juicy Oasis retreat?

Lisbon Airport, Lisbon (transfers can be arranged from this airport).

How do I arrange the transfer?

Transfers from Lisbon airport to the retreat and back are available at an additional cost from our 3rd party transfer company. You can either book an ‘Any time Transfer’ to meet your specific flight arrival and departure times or you can opt for our ‘Group Transfers’ which run throughout the day on Saturdays between the airport and the retreat.

Please remember from the time your flight lands, you need to allow around 45 minutes to disembark; collect any luggage; get from the plane to the arrival hall; get through passport control and maybe use the toilet or buy a drink.

Please allow 1.45 – 2 hours for the transfer and we also advise a minimum of 2 hours at the airport prior to your returning flight to allow for security (this could be increased due to Covid) and passport control. Therefore please leave a minimum of 3.45 hours before your flight departure when selecting your return transfer from the retreat to Lisbon airport.

Once you have booked your flights, please confirm which transfer you would like to book onto and provide us with your flight number and arrival time.

Please note when booking transfers, that all of our transfers (GROUP and PRIVATE ANY TIME) can accommodate 1 x suitcase and 1 x one hand luggage bag per guest only. If you are planning on bringing more baggage than this, please inform our team prior to booking transfers as you may require a larger vehicle which may incur additional costs. If you do not inform us, we cannot guarantee that the vehicle will be large enough for both guests and baggage; it will be up to you to make alternative arrangements and you will still be charged for the transfer booked.

How much is the transfer?

The cost of the group transfer with the 3rd party transfer company is £85 each way (£170 return) per person. A taxi can cost considerably more and the retreat can be hard to find, as it is situated in a fairly remote area. Please note that the ‘Group Transfers’ only run on Saturdays and the times are below: If you would like transfers outside of these times or prefer a transfer to be waiting for you on arrival, then please request an ‘Any-Time’ transfer which run on any day/any time and are £220 for the vehicle for the one way journey (1- 3 people) or £275 (4 – 5 people) to and from Lisbon Airport only. Any other collection or drop off point in Lisbon will incur an additional charge of: Executive car 1 – 3 guests £30, Minivan 4 – 5 guests £40. Bespoke transfer quotes to other locations in Portugal are available upon request.

What do I need to pack?

You will get through a lot of sports clothes, so please pack plenty. Trainers are essential for walks and exercising. The mornings and evenings from September – June could be cooler, so please pack a jumper and also a lightweight waterproof. The retreat is very casual so no need to pack anything ‘smart’. We also recommend that you pack a water bottle however, these will also be available to purchase in the shop.

What is the accommodation like?

Juicy Oasis is designed as a luxury retreat. All rooms include air conditioning, wi-fi, tv, safe, blackout curtains, robes, toiletries, a hairdryer (excluding Eco Pod) and pool towel. For more information including photos of the rooms visit the bookings page.

Please note; there is free wi-fi available across the retreat, but due to the remote location of the retreat, this can be quite patchy in places and a little temperamental at times. That said, most guests find it fine for general web browsing, email etc.

Can I book days to go sightseeing and shopping?

The retreat is held in a fairly remote part of Portugal and is about 20 minutes away from the Sertã village. The idea is that you do not leave the retreat, as you are submerged in a mind and body cleanse, however if you really want to get to the village for whatever reason, we can arrange a transfer for you (cost to be advised at time of booking). We do organise a boat trip to a local orangery during the week (depending on the season) which is a wonderful opportunity to see a little more of Portugal.

If I can’t arrive on Saturday can I still join the retreat?

Yes. Your room will however be booked for the whole week, so regardless of when you arrive you will still need to pay for the whole week. You would also be required to have an any-time transfer.

When can I arrive?

You can arrive at the retreat on Saturday from 16.00pm, however if you have an earlier flight then transfers are available with the 3rd party transfer company from 11.30am and you are welcome to use the on-site facilities until your room becomes available.

Are there any medical staff on site?

Our Juicy Oasis Retreat is essentially a leisure retreat. Please be aware we are not a medical facility and have no medical staff on site. Our retreats are juicing, fitness and yoga retreats and are not equipped to care for guests in need of medical attention.

Our weeks are designed to help cleanse out the mind and body and give you the opportunity to leave the retreat feeling, lighter, refreshed and alive. The retreat offers a nutritious plan which is fuelling the body at a cellular level, which helps to balance many things. This helps to gain energy levels and enjoy the opportunity to try out activities and meet like-minded people.

We ask that our guests with medical conditions to consult with their doctor prior to booking a stay at our retreat. For guests currently under medical supervision they must provide a Doctor’s certificate, confirming fitness to travel and take part in the retreat. Guests are also required to agree to our full terms and conditions prior to their stay, which states that they accept full responsibility for their own health. Although we have had people attend with a variety of ailments and have found their time to be really beneficial, we can offer no guarantees for ‘curing’ or ‘helping’ any medical conditions.

Can children attend the retreat?

Our policy is that children aged 14 or over can attend the retreat. However it is fundamentally an ‘adult’ environment where people have come to relax and unwind, so it is important that anyone thinking about bringing their ‘child’ respects this.

Is Travel Insurance included?

No, please arrange to purchase this cover independently.

How can I pay?

We accept debit/credit card payments, PayPal payment or BAC’s transfers (call or email our team for more details). We do not accept American Express or Laser cards.

Are flights included in the cost?

No. You will need to source and pay for your flights separately. We do not recommend to book any flights, even when booking online, until your booking has been confirmed by a member of the team.

How long is the transfer from the airport to the retreat?

The transfer from Lisbon airport to the retreat will take around 1hour 45mins.

Is there parking and electric car charging at Juicy Oasis?

We have ample complimentary parking for our guests. For electric car's we have a charging socket right next to the Reception. Please ensure you have the suitable charging cable and adaptors if required with you and the team will be able to assist upon arrival.
